Patriots Show Up in Force for Annual Fourth of July 2024 Parade
Avon Road was packed with more than 200 neighbors for the 2024 Avon Woods Fourth of July Parade and Party! The crowd began gathering around 9:30am and the parade kicked off at 10am with a Memphis Police patrol car taking the lead. Neighbors cheered the parade along the way, standing and waving from lawn chairs. Following the parade, kids entertained themselves in an inflatable bouncy house or cooled down under the spray of a Memphis Fire Department hook-and-ladder. We were joined by Mr. Joe’s Ice Cream, Hollywood Feed, and Hook Point Brewery. And what Fourth of July would be complete without grilled hot dogs — courtesy of grillmasters Torrent Johnston and Tim Williams.
