“Plant the Town Red” Art Contest

Sponsored by Memphis City Beautiful, “Paint the Town Red” is a grassroots, citywide effort to promote fellowship and pride by encouraging Memphis residents, schools, businesses and neighborhoods to Plant the Town Red with red flowers, flowering shrubs and trees. The Plant the Town Red campaigns date back to 1988 and with the objective to create awareness of Memphis as a clean, forward-thinking city, as well as inspire community pride.

THEME: Plant the Town Red (Think red flowers, flowering shrubs, trees, neighborhoods, homes, and Memphis.)

WHO CAN ENTER: All Shelby County students are eligible 

2 CATEGORIES: Original Artwork and Photography

TO ENTER: Send a photo of your original artwork or your photography file to: city.beautiful@memphistn.gov

All entries must have the student’s name, address, age/grade, teacher’s name and school.

The first 150 entries will receive red flower seed packets. Winners will be published in the July issue of Jabberblabber. All works must be their original work and not violate any U.S. copyright law.

Deadline for entry is May 30, 2021.
