By all accounts, our first-ever Avon Woods Neighborhood-Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, April 16, was a HUGE success! More than 40 neighbors signed up as sellers, plus Avon Lenox School held their semi-annual yard sale fundraiser on the same day. The neighborhood was BUZZING!

A Win-Win-Win for Sellers, Shoppers and Neighbors

Based on feedback from our sellers, the sale was a success for everyone involved. “Lots of praise from shoppers, including appreciation for our neighborhood association,” said one seller. “We would not have participated if it wasn’t for the neighborhood association!” said another. And Principal Arwen Adair said, “Avon School had a great day! Thanks for including us!”

Special THANKS to yard sale coordinators Jinna Bockhold, Sally Feinup, Torrent Johnston, Jay Perdue, Amanda and Derrick Von Stein and Paige Wallace — and kudos to Mary K. Allen who looped in the Neighborhood Watch block captains and extended an invitation to the MPD who stepped up patrols!
