November 13 @ 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Mark your calendars for Thursday, Nov. 13 at 6:30pm for the fourth quarter meeting of Avon Woods Neighborhood Watch at Independent Presbyterian Church.
We are pleased to have Randy Hutchinson as our featured speaker at this quarter’s Neighborhood Watch Meeting. The President and CEO of the BBB of the Mid-South, Randy will be speaking on the topic of scams, a frequent subject of the BBB blog and his guest columns in the Daily Memphian. Randy will inform us about scams of all sorts — from phishing emails to crypto scams to computer hackers to new forms of scamming enabled by AI — how to recognize and avoid them. Come and learn alongside your Avon Woods neighbors some of the latest trends in criminal trickery.
Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the participation of residents in cooperation with the Memphis Police Department to reduce crime, improve the quality of life, and establish a sense of well-being by watching out for one another in our area. The Neighborhood Watch Program is a highly successful effort and proven deterrent to crime that has been in existence for more than 50 years in cities and counties across America — and several neighborhoods throughout Memphis.
Neighborhood Watch is FREE. There is no cost to attend this event.
