August 5 @ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
This first Tuesday in August each year — this year, Aug. 5 — is National Night Out, an annual nationwide community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
Join your neighbors as we gather in Avon Park from 6:00-8:00pm to meet representatives from the Memphis Police Department‘s Tillman precinct and Memphis Fire Department‘s Fire Station #21 (S. Mendenhall Rd.). Mr. Joe’s Ice Cream will be selling frozen treats to keep you cool. (Free for MPD and MFD First Responders, courtesy of Avon Woods Neighborhood Association!)
We will have free giveaways — mini flashlights and Avon Woods Important Numbers refrigerator magnets. Come meet our First Responders, our Avon Woods Block Captains, and learn more about Avon Woods Neighborhood Watch.
