Fourth of July Parade 2026

Celebrate 250 years of independence — right here at home!
Join the Annual Avon Woods Fourth of July Parade & Picnic! We will gather at 9:30am in front of Avon School and begin the parade around the neighborhood at 10am. Join the parade! Families, children, dogs (on leashes, please), classic cars, Jeeps, golf carts, strollers, wagons and bicycles/tricycles are invited to join.
- Come early for coffee and beignets from Voodoo Cafe
- Stay after the parade for hot dogs, chips and bottled water
- Post-parade bouncy house inflatable (until approx. 1:00pm)
- Memphis Fire Department pumper truck – with water spray to cool off!
- Hollywood Feed – treats for the pups
- Mr. Joe’s Ice Cream ($3-5 per treat)
- Avon Woods Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Watch info table
Decorations Contest – Win Prizes!
Prizes will be awarded for best decorated bicycles, tricycles, scooters and wagons. For kids 12 and under. Judging will take place at 9:30am before the parade.
New This Year! Best Decorated Yard Contest
Decorate your home and win a prize! Open to all Avon Woods residents. Fly your flags, put up bunting, lights, balloons — whatever. Get creative — and patriotic! Judging will take place the morning of July 4. Prize winner will be announced at the parade.

Show your Avon Woods pride with Avon Woods branded merchandise, including special Fourth of July Parade & Picnic t-shirts. View the Fourth of July collection, and order by Monday, June 22, to ensure free standard delivery by July 4. (Expedited delivery available if you miss the cut-off date.)

Pay Your Annual Dues
Become a Member — This is when we encourage folks to renew their Avon Wood Neighborhood commitment. Your dues help fund neighborhood communications (like this website!) and events throughout the year.
- Per household: $35/year
- Individual: $25/year
