Neighborhood Watch Meeting – June 27

June 27 @ 6:30 PM 7:30 PM

We’re getting organized! Come and meet your new Avon Woods Neighborhood Watch Block Captains, Thursday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m. At Independent Presbyterian Church.

In this meeting, we will:

  • Meet our Memphis Police Department precinct commanders and new MPD Neighborhood Watch Manager
  • Learn about crime trends in Avon Woods and crime prevention tips
  • Install our Avon Woods Block Captains and show the areas they cover
  • Discuss areas still lacking Block Captains and solicit volunteers

This is your Avon Woods Neighborhood Watch. Come, learn and get involved.

Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the participation of residents in cooperation with the Memphis Police Department to reduce crime, improve the quality of life, and establish a sense of well-being by watching out for one another in our area. The Neighborhood Watch Program is a highly successful effort and proven deterrent to crime that has been in existence for more than 50 years in cities and counties across America — and several neighborhoods throughout Memphis.
