DESCRIPTION:Join your Avon Woods neighbors Saturday\, Oct. 19 from 1:00-4:00pm at Avon Park for our annual neighborhood Fall Picnic. We will be serving charcoal-grilled hamburgers and hot dogs\, baked beans\, mac and cheese\, chips and cookies. Plus\, Mr. Joe’s Ice Cream Truck will be there selling frozen treats. \n\n\n\nActivities for the whole family include hayrides around the park\, a giant inflatable bouncy house for the kids\, pumpkin painting\, cornhole — and even a large screen TV so you can also enjoy the Fall football games! \n\n\n\nBottled water will be available\, but you are encouraged to bring your own beverages. Coolers are welcome. Bring chairs or picnic blankets. Dogs are leashes are welcome as well. \n\n\n\nRain Date: In the event of rain\, we will move the picnic to Sunday\, Oct. 20\, 1:00-4:00pm. Fingers crossed for good weather! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMEMBERS EAT FREE! \n\n\n\nMeal tickets are FREE for dues-paying members\, up to 4 meal tickets for household members\, 1 meal ticket per individual member. Non-members and guests pay just $5. \n\n\n\nVOLUNTEERS NEEDED! \n\n\n\nIt takes a crew to put on an event of this size\, and we still need volunteers to help with setup and takedown\, serving food\, collecting money\, and assisting with the hayrides and other games. DonutNV\, a mini donut shop on wheels owned by our neighbor Dana Woods will be serving up hot or iced NVous Coffee and mini donuts cooked before your very eyes and piled high with your choice of toppings — glazed\, powdered sugar\, cinnamon sugar\, Oreo\, French toast\, chocolate caramel\, Fruity Pebbles\, rainbow sprinkles\, and more! Even special Fall flavors\, Pumpkin Roll and Poison Apple topping. \n\n\n\nIf hot or iced coffee isn’t your cup ‘o tea\, DonutNV will also be serving hot chocolate and their fresh-squeezed lemonade with 7 flavor options! \n\n\n\nSaturday morning\, Oct. 26\, we will be in the cove where Pinewood Street ends at Avon Park from 8:00–10:00am. Bring your family\, bring a friend\, bring a blanket or lawn chairs and come get to know your neighbors with a sweet start to your day. \n\n\n\nNOTE: Please be considerate of our neighbors on Pinewood Street and park in the school parking lot and avoid parking in the cove.
