DESCRIPTION:Join your Avon Woods neighbors Saturday\, Oct. 18 from 1:00-4:00pm at Avon Park for our annual neighborhood Fall Festival. We will be serving charcoal-grilled hamburgers and hot dogs\, baked beans\, mac and cheese\, chips and cookies. Plus\, Mr. Joe’s Ice Cream Truck will be there selling frozen treats. \n\n\n\nActivities for the whole family include hayrides around the park\, a giant inflatable bouncy house for the kids\, pumpkin painting\, cornhole — and even a large screen TV so you can also enjoy the Fall football games! \n\n\n\nBottled water will be available\, but you are encouraged to bring your own beverages. Coolers are welcome. Bring chairs or picnic blankets. Dogs on leashes are welcome as well. \n\n\n\nRain Date: In the event of rain\, we will move the picnic to Sunday\, Oct. 19\, 1:00-4:00pm. Fingers crossed for good weather! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMEMBERS EAT FREE! \n\n\n\nMeal tickets are FREE for dues-paying Avon Woods Neighborhood Association members\, up to 4 meal tickets for household members\, 1 meal ticket per individual member. Non-members and guests pay just $5. NOT A MEMBER? Become a member now (we accept checks or Venmo). Or pay your dues at the event (via cash\, check\, Venmo or credit card.)  \n\n\n\nVOLUNTEERS NEEDED! \n\n\n\nIt takes a crew to put on an event of this size\, and we still need volunteers to help with setup and takedown\, serving food\, collecting money\, and assisting with the hayrides and other games. Families\, children\, dogs (on leashes\, please)\, classic cars\, Jeeps\, strollers\, wagons and bicycles/tricycles are invited to join. \n\nMusic\nPost-parade hot dogs\, chips and bottled water\nPost-parade bouncy house inflatable (until approx. 1pm)\nMemphis Fire Department pumper truck – with water spray to cool off!\nHollywood Feed – treats for the pups\nMr. Joe’s Ice Cream ($3-5 per treat)\nAvon Woods Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Watch info table\n\nDecorations Contest – Win Prizes!\nPrizes will be awarded for best decorated bicycles\, tricycles\, scooter and wagons. For kids 12 and under. Judging will take place at 9:30am before the parade. \nSHOW YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD PRIDE!\nShow your Avon Woods pride with Avon Woods branded merchandise\, including special Fourth of July Parade & Picnic t-shirts.
